 Thick Acrylic FAQs

  • I use various acrylic mediums to extend the paint and create 3D forms. Use the form above to download the supply sheet to learn the exact mediums I use!

  • Yes! If you use my acrylic mediums and my methods, there is minimal shrinkage or “melting” and the paintings will look wonderfully 3D when completely dry.

  • Thick acrylic paintings usually dry within 3 days. Yes, you will need to keep the cat away! If it is very dry where you live, they will dry faster.

  • When fully dry, acrylic paintings are very durable, and a soft rag or feather duster will be fine to use for dusting.
